Because we realize that not every situation requires advanced Plug In functionality and that a lot of people are capable to write some basic VB code, we released new functionality in our Ultimate products called Visual Basic.NET Function.

This functionality offers you a full blown compiler to compile any type of functionality that you need. You can simply write the code with a basic editor like Notepad.

Of course, also ExchangeIt can offer you these services. The basic idea of this new functionality is to offer a easy tool to write some code that can be used for data manupilation. It is not suitable for embedding or called third party SDK's, that is where you need to use the Plug In Framework.

As example, you can write a simple code that converst names from your database to Uppercase, Lowercase, etc. so it can be stored correctly into the database.
