Controlling cameras in software is always an issue because most cameras come without a Twain driver. The problem of using cameras was also an issue with the previous editions of CardExchange®. Therefore ExchangeIt is offering two different Add On's for the use in combination with our CardExchange® Products, the PhotoExchange® Standard and PhotoExchange® Pro.

Adding the PhotoExchange® Standard Add On to your CardExchange® editions, enables you to take full advantage of live video via the DirectShow functionality, Logitech web cam support and Canon camera control for a very competitive price.

As an addition to the Standard Add On, the PhotoExchange® Pro Add On offer advanced face recognition technology based on the technology of SPECS Ltd Canada for a highly competitive price. This functionality is not only available for new photos, but can also be used for existing photos, photos that are being scanned, or sent to you by the cardholder and imported via CardExchange®. This functionality guarantees all your photos have the correct format.

For PhotoExchange® users it is recommended that they have a dual-core processor. The reason for that is that the connection to several cameras require a considerable amount of system resources. When using a dual-core processor, the processing required by the camera and the processing required by the CardExchange® interface can be separated from each other and conflicts between the two can be avoided.

The PhotoExchange® Standard functionality is already included starting in our CardExchange® Professional edition where the PhotoExchange® Pro is standard included in our CardExchange® Ultimate edition.
